Q: How do I check the status of my order?
You can log into your account. If you did not set up an account, please check on our order status page. You will need your order number and the email address that you used when you ordered.
Q: Are all your products made in USA?
A: Yes! We own a small workshop in Pennsylvania & employ local craftsmen and women to create a wide variety of products. We use US Steel, and wherever possible, we buy our other materials & tools locally also.
Q: Can you make a product from my drawing?
A: Usually we can. You can scan &
email or mail your drawings to us and we'll let you know if we

Q: Can you make this in a different size?
A: In most cases, absolutely! We are happy to create a size or design for you. Costs may vary for larger pieces or special materials but we aim to keep costs realistic. Contact page.
Q: Can you paint my item a different color?
A: With so many product variations, adding different colors too is just not possible so we follow the Model T Ford policy: "Any color as long as it's black!" But feel free to paint your item any color you like when you get it!
Q: What material do you use?
A: We use 16 gauge steel which is approx 1/16 inch thick. It is painted with a lightly textured indoor/ outdoor paint.
Q: When will my item ship?
A: If the product page states an item is in stock, it will usually ship with 1-2 business days. However, most orders are made to order and the time to make the item will be listed on the product page (usually 7 to 10 days). Carrier delivery times will vary based on the shipping method you selected.
Q: How can I pay?
A: We accept all major credit cards and Paypal.
For credit card and Paypal payments, our corporate business name is The Metal Peddler, Inc. Your statement will therefore show the name "The Metal Peddler" or "paypal*TheMetalPeddler".
Q: I can't checkout! Whenever I click checkout, it takes me back to payment page top
A: If you are trying to checkout but your payment won't go through, try some of the following:
Some error codes:
10504: Check your card's security code. That's either the last 3 numbers on the back of your card, or for AmEx, it's 4 digits printed on the card.
10505: Is your billing address correct? This is the address associated with your credit card.
10508: The expiration date must be a two-digit month and four-digit year. Example, 01 2014
10527: Check the full number on your card. Most cards have 16 digits. Amex has 15. Don't use dashes or spaces
If you do not get an error code, check some of the most common problems:
Billing address: That's the address your credit card statement goes to. We won't write to it, but it verifies that the credit card has not been stolen etc.
Zip code: 5 digits only.
Other possible reasons: Check spelling of your address. Check email spelling if you are paying by Paypal.
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: We are a family business, headed up by Jason Fannin, a metal fabricator since 1992. We have been in business on the internet since 2003 with TheMetalPeddler.com. Customer service is very important to us, and we are very proud of our good standing with our customers.
Q: Can I come to your showroom?
A: We are a metal shop, so we don’t have a retail store or showroom. You can pick up your product by prior arrangement. Contact page.
Q: Can you donate to our animal shelter?
A: We receive donation requests every day, and cannot respond to all of them. We are committed to a select few charities already, and we are unable to send gifts or donations to new requests.
